“The play areas looked a little tired and a bit worse for wear,” said Tony, who has a son Sam, three, and whose daughter Jessica, four, is set to start reception in September.

“We’re delighted with the result and to have been involved in Hartford Manor Community Primary School’s amazing project, which will uplift the nursery and reception pupils and should equally delight their parents knowing their children have this renovated play area to enjoy themselves.

“Play areas are a really important part of a child’s development and having them in tip-top condition can only make their lives more enjoyable.”

Kathy Hague, from Hartford Manor Community Primary School, was delgihted with the result and thanked the Barclays team for their time and skills.

“The play areas look amazing after a much needed renovation,” she said.

“They will be enjoyed by many nursery and reception pupils within our community for years to come and will make a huge difference to their lives.”
