Windows Rainmeter Ticker
The Ticker/Widget for Windows is created as a Rainmeter skin. To install and configure it please follow the steps below:
- Download and install Rainmeter v4.3+ - for more information click here
- Download the latest release from GitHub - click the Download button below
- Double-click the .rmskin file and then click Install
- Right-click the Desklet and select Edit Skin - Replace ApiKey=YOUR_API_KEY with your CoinMarketCap API key
- Congratulations, you are set!
Linux Mint - Cinnamon Desklet
The Ticker/Widget for Linux Mint - Cinnamon is created as a native Desklet and you can install and configure it from the Desklet Management window:
- Go to your desktop and click the right mouse button
- From the menu select the Add Desklets option
- Select the tab Available Desklets/Download
- Find the Cryptocurrency Ticker Desklet, you can use the search bar
- Click or mark it for installation to install the Desklet
- Congratulations, you are set!

Linux Mint - Cinnamon v1.4 released
New version containing UI customatization, upgrades to all icons and refreshing the cryptocurrency list.
You can update to the newest version from the Desklets Manager window. The new version contains the following changes:
- All icons are updated to a new version
- Added the TOP 500 cryptocurrencies from CoinMarketCap on top of the existing cryptocurrencies
- New customization options for the UI like background color and background corner radius

This version is upgrading the Ticker to work with the PRO CoinMarketCap API as the old API was deprecated and removed.

Removed the public CoinMarketCap API and added support for the Pro CoinMarketCap API. The public API is not supported anymore as it will be shut down on 4th of December, 2018.
